5 Hotel Safety Tips

As the world is beginning to open up, families are taking day trips or planning fun staycations. The safety of guest and employees is a hotel’s number one priority and they are following CDC guidelines, there are some precautions that you can take as well.

Below are 5 hotel safety tips.

  • Skip valet parking and self park instead. This will save money and reduce the risk of exposure.
  • Choose Mobile Check-In if your hotel offers this service. You can check in from your phone and you will receive notification when your room is ready. Once your room is ready you will receive a mobile key on your phone. This avoids face to face contact at the front desk and you don’t have to worry about losing or keeping up with your guest room key.
  • Once you check in, put on gloves and place any non essential items that may have been touched by a previous guest such as pens, notebooks, magazines, menus, complimentary toiletries, etc in a bag and place them outside your room.
  • Place any remotes in the room in a plastic bag or covering before you use them. Don’t forget to pack a ziplock bag!!
  • Wipe down all surfaces and door knobs.
  • Bonus – Skip housekeeping service during your stay and request towels and washcloths as needed.

Please check state guidelines and regulations before you travel. Stay Safe!
